Dr. Kaka is an education professional with over 23 years of leadership and teaching experience. He earned his PhD in Education from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia, where his doctoral research focused on the assessment and practices of Educating for Gross National Happiness in Bhutanese schools through the Theory of Practice Architectures. His scholarly work has been published in esteemed journals, including the Australian and International Journal of Rural Education and the Bhutan Journal for Research and Development. He has also presented at academic platforms of Harvard University, the University of Sydney, and the International Symposium for Innovation in Rural Education (ISFIRE). Throughout his career, Dr. Kaka has demonstrated exceptional dedication to education and public service. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Bronze and Silver Medals for 10 and 20 years of service, respectively, from His Majesty the King of Bhutan. Currently, he teaches at Ivanhoe Central School in New South Wales, Australia, while also serving as a reviewer for the International Journal of Educational Research (Elsevier). And an Editorial Board Member for the Bhutan Insights Journal. His expertise spans educational leadership, school management, teacher training, and education policy development, reflecting his commitment to advancing quality education in diverse learning contexts. As an Engagement Partner with EduPlus Training Institute, Dr. Kaka plays a key advisory role in strengthening institutional partnerships and aligning program outcomes with Bhutan’s educational reforms and global best practices. He provides guidance in faculty development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality assurance, ensuring academic rigour and international compliance across EduPlus programs. Moreover, he actively supports initiatives that promote innovation in teaching and learning, international collaborations, and the enhancement of professional education standards across borders.
