Edwin Sam is a leader, educator, and social innovator with over two decades of experience spanning government, civil society, and international development sectors across the Asia-Pacific. He has led transformative initiatives in public policy, inclusive service design, and volunteer engagement, impacting communities in countries such as Singapore, India, and Sri Lanka. As the Founder and Director of Redwood Psychology, Sam has successfully built a respected mental health practice that combines clinical expertise with consulting and technology to make psychological care more accessible and inclusive across Singapore and Asia.

A passionate educator, Sam serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Social Service Institute under the National Council of Social Service, and at several institutes of higher learning, including the National University of Singapore. His teaching and speaking engagements cover public policy, leadership, diversity, inclusion, and volunteer management, empowering emerging leaders in the social service sector. His ability to bridge academia, policy, and community practice has positioned him as a sought-after thought leader, having spoken at forums such as LianHe ZaoBao’s public webinar on “Decoding User Designs in the New Normal.”

Throughout his career, Sam has held influential leadership roles—including Head of Consumer Inclusiveness at SG Enable and Deputy Director at the Silver Generation Office, where he pioneered frameworks like the Enabling Mark,Singapore’s national accreditation for disability-inclusive employment. His contributions to inclusive public transport, senior care, and volunteerism have earned recognition from both the public and private sectors. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, his research focuses on leadership models and succession, reflecting his enduring commitment to developing resilient, empathetic, and future-ready leadership in Asia’s social and public sectors.
